Leisure or competitive sports...

For the amateurs of sport, many competitions take place throughout the year:

- in cycling, 2 test-headlights: Paris-Roubaix ("the hell of North and its paving stones") and 4 days of Dunkirk

- each year (at the beginning of February) takes place celebrates it Enduro of Touquet

- in the same way, in Athletics, Villeneuve d' Ascq accomodates a meeting of world level.

Moreover, 2 clubs of the area North-Pas-de-Calais, the "RC Lens" and "Lille OSC" take part in League 1 of Football.

In the other sports like the Tennis shoe (Gravelines), Volley ball (Tourcoing Lille Metropolis), Hand Ball (Dunkirk)..., the area defends also its colors!

But, without being a champion, everyone can practise many sports at the time of its leisures like the tank with veil, horsemanship, cycling, the oar or the canoe kayak (in Boulogne)
